LocalVoiceNote · Last updated: March 2026
LocalVoiceNote ("the App") is a speech-to-text transcription app that runs entirely on your device. This policy explains what data the App handles and what it does not.
The App requests access to your device microphone solely to record audio for transcription. Audio is processed locally and immediately discarded after transcription. No audio is stored beyond what you explicitly save as a transcript in the App.
The App stores transcripts you save locally in the app's private container on your device. This data is protected by iOS's standard data protection and is not accessible to other apps. You can delete any or all saved transcripts from within the App at any time.
LocalVoiceNote Pro is offered as an optional one-time in-app purchase. All purchase transactions are handled by Apple via the App Store. The App receives only a confirmation of entitlement status from Apple's StoreKit framework; no payment card information is ever visible to or stored by the App.
The optional AI assistant feature connects to a third-party AI service to process text you explicitly submit for that purpose. When you use this feature, the text of your request is sent to the AI provider over an encrypted connection. No audio or transcript content is sent without your explicit action. You may choose not to use this feature.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
